Ted Trueblood Chapter Calendar
JANUARY 12 MEETING
The joint meeting of the Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout
Unlimited and the Boise Valley Fly Fishermen will be at 600 N. Curtis, across
from West Junior High School. Fly tying at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Our January program will be about approaches to fly fishing for trout and
whitefish during the cool time in the late fall period approaching winter, the
cold of winter and then phasing into early spring. Dr. Bob Friedli of Boise
State University, will present a program on "off season" fly fishing
strategies, techniques, gear, and effective patterns. He'll be talking about
winter time river conditions, hatches, and where fish are likely to be found
in the stream. Bob will be providing this information through a Power Point
media presentation. He's another local fly fishing and artist talent that we
have here in our backyard. Bob will also be our featured fly tier before the
meeting starts. This will be a timely program for us as those cabin fever
symptoms begin to set in. Bring a friend. See you there.
