Ted Trueblood Chapter

Greetings:
Thanks in large part to a national Trout Unlimited promotion, we have collected several email addresses for members of the local Ted Trueblood Chapter. With a growing mailing list at hand, I thought it proper to begin sending our monthly letters via email so that members will be informed of monthly meetings (like next Tuesday the 10th) events, and other news of Trout Unlimited. The rest of this message is the November letter, a hard copy of which will arrive in your mail box Saturday or Monday. Feel free to pass the information along to others who may be interested.

PS - The Winston fly rod, which was the prize in the promotion where Trout Unlimited collected many of our email addresses, was won by some guy in Pennsylvania.

November 10 Chapter Meeting

Mark your Calenders for the Tuesday, November 10 meeting of the Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited and the Boise Valley Fly Fishermen. We will continue our joint member meetings at 600 N. Curtis (Odd Fellows Hall), across from West Junior High School. Fly tying begins at 6:30 p.m., and the meeting at 7:30 p.m.

NOVEMBER 10 MEETING -- FISHING EASTERN OREGON

Remember our program last fall by Bernie Babcock on fly fishing the Owyhee River? I was really informative and he provided some great information on techniques, hatches, and areas to fish on the river. Well, I've asked Bernie to return and talk to us about some more great fly fishing opportunities across the border in Oregon. Bernie lives in Ontario and is pretty messed up over fly fishing! He teaches fly tying and rod building and goes all over eastern Oregon chasing big trout. Folks, if you didn't know it already, there are some places to catch BIG trout in eastern Oregon. Bernie is going to share some more info with our group with an update on Owyhee River fishing and then he'll be talking to us about reservoir fisheries. He'll also be tying flies starting at 6:30 p.m. before the regular meeting. This is one you shouldn't miss -- trust me!!
