OCTOBER 13 -- Trout Unlimited meeting with Boise Valley Fly Fishermen
Starting Tuesday, October 13, the Ted Trueblood Chapter of Trout Unlimited
will hold member meetings jointly with the Boise Valley Fly Fishermen. This
action is the result of leaders of both clubs meeting and agreeing that it
makes sense to provide the opportunity for joint meetings. The Boise Valley
Fly Fishermen has a strong tradition of quality programs which are informative
and entertaining. Members of the Ted Trueblood Chapter will now have the
opportunity for regular monthly meetings. Those who are members of both clubs
will no longer face the dilemma of too many evening meetings in a busy world.
The meetings are held at 600 N. Curtis (IOOF Hall), 2nd floor, across from
West Junior High School. Fly tying begins at 6:30 p.m., meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Our October meeting will feature a presentation by Larry Tripp, District
Ranger of the Mountain Home Ranger District, on U.S. Forest Service resource
management associated with the South Fork Boise River. Larry comes back to
the BVFF to revisit what the USFS has done over the last 10 years on the South
Fork and what the future could hold. Recreation pressure on the river has
increased over the years and Larry would like to hear from us on what concerns
we might have. This meeting will be an excellent opportunity for you to speak
up and be heard by one of the key managers of the river we hold so near and
dear.
